Barcelona coach Hansi Flick admitted he was disappointed with their failure to secure victory, partly due to the lack of precision in the final third.

“We wanted to win and had the chance to do so. We are disappointed that we didn’t score more goals,” the German coach said after the game.

“You can see how they play here, they defend well. We created chances but we weren’t accurate. We have to keep going, I repeat the team had a lot of chances. Especially in the first half, but we weren’t accurate in the final pass.

“Coming to this stadium is full of excitement. Everything. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. It’s new for me. I have to get used to it.”

Barcelona now travel to Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday night, before hosting Valencia in La Liga. 

As revealed by SPORT in a recent update, however, the German coach does not regret any of his decisions from last night. He holds himself accountable but would not change anything if given the chance.
